ER nurse turned Cake Smash and Newborn Photographer and balloon artist!
I specialize in cake smash, wrapped newborn, and baby milestone sessions. I also offer Christmas and other mini sessions occasionally. I create custom balloon decor both for my cake smash set ups as well as for special occasions. My work has been published in Brand Model Magazine on a few occasions. I also occasionally mentor other photographers in online photography groups. After 7 years of photographing babies I am considered an expert in the cake smash genre.
A little about me: I am a mom to 1 son, 2 daughters, a fur baby named Kaz and 7 chickens. I am licensed as a Registered Nurse with almost 15 years of pediatric and adult critical care experience, but photography is my creative passion. I have been doing cake smashes and newborn sessions for over 7 years while working as a RN, but took a break from my nursing profession after the loss of my mother in 2022. I have been running my photography business full time since then. Working as a nurse, doing photography and having 3 kids of my own has led me to become sort of an expert with small humans lol. I'm also a troop leader to a Girl Scout troop of 18 girls ages 5-10, and I absolutely love it. I am lucky enough to be able to run my business out of my beautiful converted detached garage, turned cozy studio. This has allowed me to pass on savings to clients and keep my packages affordable.
I absolutely enjoy capturing those first professional images of tiny newborns, putting together the perfect set ups for cake smashes, and capturing those precious birthday milestones.

Lesline took my daughter's 1st birthday cake smash photos and the experience was so great! From the beginning she was very responsive and accommodating. She was very helpful when it came to designing the backdrop and was even willing to create something completely new. At the photoshoot she was so sweet! She has that great energy that is so important when working with children. My daughter warmed up after a few minutes and we all had so much fun. The pictures themselves are AMAZING. Just did our second second cake smash photoshoot with Julie Jay Images for our daughter’s first birthday - she does an amazing job!!! She always makes the most adorable themes and matches what I ask for perfectly. She provides the cake and Has so many adorable outfits and accessories to choose from, all provided in the package!! And she’s so good with the babies… my daughter cried the entire time 🥴 but Lesline did such a good job grabbing her attention, helping her calm down and have fun!!
